Executive Coaching

You need more range in how you lead.

At a certain level, becoming more capable is not the whole answer.

As responsibility increases, the strategies that helped create your success can become the same patterns that limit what comes next.

Simply Midori works with executives, founders, and senior leaders on the operating patterns underneath communication, judgment, delegation, authority, pressure, relationships, performance, and consequential career decisions.

The objective is not to turn you into a different kind of leader. It is to make more of your leadership available by choice.

Bring one real leadership problem. A few sentences are enough.
Led by Joshua One clear primary coaching relationship.
Complimentary first conversation 30 minutes to understand what you are navigating.

You may be here because

Something that made you successful may now be costing you.

You carry too much yourself.

People trust you because you solve problems. The cost is that you have become part of too many solutions.

Your thinking is stronger than the way it lands.

You understand the complexity. The people around you need the conclusion, implication, and decision.

Pressure brings out your best work.

But urgency may have become the condition under which you know how to access it.

You know what you should do and still do something else.

Delegate. Confront. Decide. Stop explaining. Say no. Leave. Stay. You already understand the advice.

You are succeeding in a role you may be outgrowing.

The question is no longer simply what opportunity you can get. It is what you actually want to build, lead, or carry.

What changes

Your strengths are not the problem. Having only one move is.

A leader becomes more effective when the situation can determine the response instead of an old pattern determining it automatically.
Communication Hold complexity when necessary and compress it when the room needs clarity.
Decision-making Analyze deeply when information matters and move when additional analysis has become delay.
Delegation Maintain accountability without becoming the person who must personally rescue every important outcome.
Authority Listen, collaborate, challenge, decide, or hold the line based on what the situation requires.
Pressure Use urgency when it is useful without requiring crisis to access your strongest work.
Career & role Choose what comes next instead of allowing momentum, expectations, or opportunity to choose it for you.

We are not trying to remove what made you successful. We are expanding what you can do with it.

What this can look like

The business problem was not only a business problem.

Founder and business owner
Leadership under pressure
Communication and selling
Consequential business transition
“

For months, I was having a hard time focusing on my business. I was carrying the pressure of leading, selling, and making decisions, and it was affecting how I showed up.

Working with Simply Midori helped me communicate more clearly, recognize the decision sooner, and stay steady in difficult conversations. What made the work different was that we addressed both the practical business challenges and what was happening in me under pressure.

I reengaged with the business, found a buyer, and ultimately sold my company for $20 million. I have better access to my own judgment when the stakes are high.

Why the structure matters

Leadership problems do not respect professional categories.

A delegation problem can involve capability, organizational structure, trust, responsibility, identity, and control.

A communication problem can involve cognition, authority, audience awareness, perfectionism, anxiety, and organizational politics.

A consequential career decision can involve strategy, ambition, economics, relationships, identity, values, and meaning.

Simply Midori is a psychology firm.

Our work brings psychological depth together with organizational thinking, behavioral science, leadership, consulting, research, and practical intervention.

Joshua leads the Executive Coaching relationship. The problem does not have to fit neatly inside one discipline.

Why insight sometimes does not change behavior

Sometimes the problem is not that you do not know what to do.

You may already know you should delegate.

Have the conversation. Stop overexplaining. Set the boundary. Make the decision. Leave the role. Or step fully into it.

When insight has not produced change, we become interested in another question.

What makes the current way of operating feel necessary?

Remaining indispensable may protect your sense of value.
Extensive preparation may protect you from criticism or being misunderstood.
Consensus may protect you from the discomfort of authority.
Constant work may protect you from what becomes visible when things become quiet.

Some leadership problems require better information, skill, process, or structure. Others require the leader to change something about how they operate. Our job is to tell the difference.

How the work happens

Start with the problem. The structure follows from there.

The work begins with what is actually happening rather than forcing the situation into a predetermined coaching curriculum.

01

Diagnose the real problem

What is happening? Where is the cost? What have you tried? Why does it matter now?

02

Map the operating pattern

How are you thinking, deciding, responding, relating, and using authority? What keeps reproducing the issue?

03

Find the leverage point

Not everything needs to change. We identify the few shifts most likely to create disproportionate impact.

04

Test it in real leadership

Use the actual meeting, decision, conflict, role, communication, or organizational situation until the response remains available when pressure returns.

What working together looks like

Enough structure to create change. Enough flexibility to stay close to real life.

Before you reach out

Questions leaders usually want answered first.

Who will I work with?
Joshua leads Simply Midori's Executive Coaching engagements. The work is informed by the firm's broader psychological, organizational, behavioral, and leadership perspective, while you maintain one clear primary coaching relationship.
Is Executive Coaching psychotherapy?
No. Psychological frameworks may inform the work when they help clarify a leadership problem, but Executive Coaching remains focused on current leadership, communication, decisions, behavior, performance, relationships, role, and organizational impact. When clinical treatment is the appropriate container, we do not disguise it as coaching.
How is Executive Coaching different from Personal Advisory?
Executive Coaching is developmental and leadership-focused. The work centers on how you communicate, decide, delegate, use authority, handle pressure, lead people, and operate in your professional role. Personal Advisory is broader and can involve ongoing thinking across business, leadership, relationships, opportunities, and complex personal or professional decisions.
Can my organization sponsor the coaching, and what remains confidential?
Yes. Organization-sponsored Executive Coaching is available. At the beginning of a sponsored engagement, goals, relevant stakeholders, information-sharing expectations, and confidentiality boundaries are clarified rather than assumed.
What does Executive Coaching cost and what is the commitment?
Private Executive Coaching is $12,000 for a six-month engagement. Organization-sponsored Executive Coaching is $15,000 for six months. The standard structure includes two 60-minute sessions each month and brief support between sessions.
Is the first conversation complimentary?
Yes. The first 30-minute conversation is complimentary. It is an opportunity to understand what you are navigating, determine whether Executive Coaching is the right fit, and answer practical questions before you decide whether to move forward.

Start with one real situation

Bring the problem you are tired of carrying alone.

  • The decision.
  • The communication issue.
  • The person you cannot figure out how to lead.
  • The role you are deciding whether to take.
  • The responsibility you know should no longer be yours.
  • The company you are trying to build.
  • The pattern you understand and still repeat.

You do not need to diagnose it first.
